BEWELL
How can we utilize artificial intelligence to learn about our body’s physical and emotional responses to the foods we eat and form new, healthier habits?
The Problem:
Today, many people are beginning to focus on their personal well-being as a whole. Mental illness rates are on the rise, creating a need for new ways to cope, heal, and protect health for individuals.
The Solution:
A connected system of products including a Biosensor Patch Wearable, a Kitchen Assistant and a Supplemental App to support the user’s well-being by teaching healthy habits and developing an individualized diet.
The System of Products:

How We Got Here (Design Journey)
Identifying a Target User
Struggling With Food Sensitivity
This users main concern is fixing her digestive and dietary issues.
She has been struggling with pain after eating that prolongs into the day and decreases her mood and overall productivity because she is distracted by feeling unwell.
She is afraid that if she goes to a doctor they will just prescribe her a medicine instead of fixing her problem.
She is interested in learning about what foods are causing her issues and wants to learn to fix them through her diet.
Researching The Market
Concepts and User Journeys
After narrowing down a plethora of concepts, and conducting user and market research our team decided to create a product system using these 3 items:
1. A biosensor for data collection
2. an app for artificial learning
3. A kitchen assistant for creating new habits.
From there, we explored multiple different systems and aesthetic directions, created and tested prototypes with real users and used our learnings to finalize direction.
BIOSENSORS
Biosensors are worn as a discreet wearable on your skin and are used to track different reactions and metrics in your body. Some can track how your body is reacting through your sweat to gauge your health.
FOOD TRACKING
Technology is available to scan your food to automatically input its nutritional info rather than doing it autonomously.
SMART ASSISTANTS
AI and smart assistants are expanding every day. Some technology even has the ability to create projectable assistance in the home
